I love how this album has exposed the hypebeast fans. nikkas talking bout how it's boring and all that other dumb shyt. nikka put out a joint with real shyt based on the current climate of the country and all these cocksuckas can say is "I can't turn up to this". Glad to know u only hopped on the cole wagon about 2-3 years ago and had no clue about his rise in the game and the music he made way back. I hate you nikkas with a passion. False Prophets.
fukk is you talmbout nikka? Hes projected to sell 500k first week, quit bytching like ya mans is getting a bum rap.And that's just my opinion. At the end of the day, if you only respect his music if he can get you lit then you're the problem. Go elsewhere for that type of energy. I'm glad the nikka made this album. It's necessary in this climate. It's relevant. It's not just dope music for the sake of being dope, the nikka is speaking on real life, what ppl are going through right and what he is also going through. It's a more mature cole than his last effort and the avg fan today isn't going to feel it because they want that easy popcorn turn up shyt that they can run to social media and quote under pictures.
It really doesn't matter if listeners like that don't like the music. People like me who appreciate growth and creativity fukk with it. I'll continue to listen to the album then come to a conclusion as to where it stands in his discography and with the rest of the really good rap shyt released all year. Fans of cookie cutter rap can fall back.
FHD has a heavy jazz influence?I'm pretty clear in what I'm saying.
This album has the same vibe/sound as FHD. How you figure this is him stepping away from what he usually does when sonically this sounds like his last album?

I dont think every song is part of this elaborate concept, I think its loosely strung through the whole album. These Cole stans really have pieced together some asinine theory that this is some The Cool level concept album when this pretty much the same shyt hes been rapping about since he came outwhat the fukk

Dissapointed in this, not bad but avg as fukk.
I dont think every song is part of this elaborate concept, I think its loosely strung through the whole album.
For example, I didnt see how Neighbors fit into that "third person" POV concept, that track is autobiographical and full of lines that refer to his own background.
No coincidence that that the best song on the whole album is the one thats actually about him.

Bet.I agree with everything you said. Now check out my music in my sig and lmk what you think of my rough drafts/demos

Spend hella posts hating on some new hot shyt brehsThis post reeks of pretentiousness
There have been heavier records than this album pertaining to the climate of America that have released just last month that I would say are better than this.
Common's Black America Again
Tribe's album
They are both speaking real shyt right? And I believe Tribe's album did well in terms of sales, so the notion that fans are only looking for 'easy popcorn turn up' shyt is false.
For Cole to be in this lane of deep/conscious hiphop and have all these die hard fans... it's interesting how his music isn't superior to other releases in the same lane.
Now the argument for this album's "greatness" will be because it's a conceptual record. In terms of conceptual records that dropped this year, I have it behind Coloring Book and Mick Jenkins The Healing Component.
Am I lying?

I see you feverishly quoting people telling them why their opinion is wrong.Meach, you should read before replying
If you did, you'd realize that I don't even "hate" this album. I said that I like it more than FHD.
