my nikka cole, def way better than his last album. Prob better than friday night lights. I'd give it an 8/10. Only thing holding it back is not having more aggressive tracks like simba. That first track though had a nikka listening like

Just got a chance to listen to this today. 
I'm buying it. It's not a classic but it is an improvement over Sideline Story. Cole has evolved as an MC, there's still tracks where it sounds like he's just reading from a paper and slacking off a bit but when he decides to play with his flows the lyrics leave a better impression. Only gave it two spins and really liked it. Can't wait for that 320 version though. I'm convinced people don't even wanna give J. Cole a chance or have an open mind when it comes to him trying to switch it up.

Im very critical of this nikka but this album is way better than his first
I don't see how you could not like this album. This is genuinely good music.
Not one of the other dudes mentioned in this thread could carry an entire album like this. No features, he didn't go out a buy a bunch of beats with built in hooks, spit three verses on most songs. This is real hip hop.

He got one thing right though:
Pac was like Jesus, Nas wrote the Bible
Other than that, Born Sinner goes in the Recycle Bin

This album really has to sink in with you because it is so different from everything else.
I actually like the production now the more I listen to it because it makes the songs unique.
