I have no idea but at least it’s a dope song and an actual rap song getting that love instead of some hybrid autotunw whiny shyt.this isnt a hit.
did the term hit get redefined?
shyt is weird
The most interesting thing about the top rappers of this era is you woulda thought Kendrick and Cole would be much closer than Drizzy and Cole but here we are. Say what you will about Drake but he has more consistent positive character traits than Kendrick.
Cole produced what is arguable Kendricks break out song higher power and they were supposed to do a lot of music together but they didn't. Relationship seems to have soured after control. Meanwhile these guys been solid their whole run and Cole has gotten more seasoned by challenging himself to bar up against anyone on a feature. While Kendrick has gone from having arguable one of the best catalogues in rap up until damn to making music like he lost touch with the public... It's not helping his rapping.
It's just the era we are in right now.So this song is bigger than workout? Number one songs usually debut high but work their way up to Number one over weeks or even months, now these debut one then disappear
Positive character traits?
Lmao Kendrick has collabed with any and everybody in the past decade. Just because he’s not running to do songs with either Drake or Cole means absolutely nothing.
Drake and Cole click because they came in to the game in similar manners and both caught hype at the same time. Both signed to and were mentored by popular legendary artists at the height of their influence and both are products of white mother/black father unions.
Kendrick comes from a COMPLETELY different world and different circumstances.
And as far as losing touch with the public…

I don’t see it
Kendrick and Cole don't come from different worlds just places. Both humble beginnings
If Wayne mentored Drake then Dre did Kendrick. They have more similarities than differences.
It's just the era we are in right now.
If you listen to both songs, and were asked which hit #1 on billboard, I'd say "Workout".
FPS is a good song, but Drake and Cole on the same track together is an easy way to hit #1
