for me I think he's finally managed to pull himself out of the Carmello Anthony lane/ looks very good on paper, but no hardware (rings) and overall undisputed credibility, where people (the majority) no longer doubt ones hunger or greatness.
With that said delivering a message in ones music is tricky. People don't wanna necessarily hear that shyt
they are bombarded enough by 9to5 and the ptb, so music has now resorted to just an escape mechanism, then you have the challenge of not being too heavy handed with ones message
Like the ways of a good preacher hate the sin and not the sinner
And the fact that a lot of this heavy lifting isn't being done by the vets but left to younger generation says a lot
But many will devot a song not necessarily an entire project/ can be very risky. so props for experimenting, taking chances and alternative routs not just radio spins
And it puts you in different tier when you can say what you want take shots with no real repercussions if lyrically you can slaughter any backlash

He didn't fully go on him, he was addressing all the young new rappers but he did acknowledge Lil pump because he is the one who made a fukk J cole song.
