That would be Born Sinner but this was cool though. It could have been better but it was cool.

Nah, that album had a handful of great tracks with the rest being average as shyt, KOD didn’t have any crazy standouts but it’s consistently solid for the most part and more cohesive.

If we’re counting every Cole project

FNL > TWU > FHD > TY > KOD > TCU > BS > CW:SS > 4YEO

I disagree, name the bad/average songs on Born Sinner so we can discuss that.

KOD was bubble gum and for the kids. It was cool but its not seeing Born Sinner as an entire album period.

There was nothing bubblegum about KOD breh, not sure what you mean? And as for BS..

She knows, Crooked Smile & Ain’t That Some shyt were corny & Trash and some of Cole’s worst ever songs

Trouble, Chaining Day, Villumanati & Mo Money were all average

Land of the Snakes & Forbidden Fruit I wouldn’t call bad, but he coulda switched the samples up a bit instead of using the exact same OutKast/Tribe beats.

Born Sinner, Runaway, Let Nas Down, Power Trip & Rich nikkaz are all dope as fukk tho.

:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol: No, this is all wrong bro. Chaining day was average?

Crooked Smile and She Knows were corny? You're bugging.

I'm not even going to argue with you. Those are some of his best songs.

Also Ain't That Some shyt and Mo Money were clearly not to be taken too serious and was him having fun and meant to be small time album cuts. KOD on the other hand ain't that memorable compared to Born Sinner.

KOD is bubble gum and for the kids...but Born Sinner which features multiple ladies tracks is real shyt?
:mjlol:

I'm not a Cole fan but lol. KOD is far from a kids album...in fact it goes in the exact opposite direction of what "the kids" want to hear.

I actually wasn't a fan of 4YEO on release but I've been revisiting it lately and it's actually pretty solid to me. I've played this song like a million times in the last 30 days

That’s a dope track. It’s time to revisit that album.

I still listen to this. My initial reaction to it and how I feel today are completely different. This is my favorite album from him.

Cole's trap drum programming are terrible. No wavy at all. Reminds me of how KRIT's 808s used to be super trash, then he went to a club and heard how shyt is supposed to sound. These dudes need help...if you aren't really on the wave, let people assist you.

I pay taxes, so much taxes, shyt don't make sense
Where do my dollars go? You see lately, I ain't been convinced
I guess they say my dollars supposed to build roads and schools
But my nikkas barely graduate, they ain't got the tools
Maybe 'cause the tax dollars that I make sure I send
Get spent hirin' some teachers that don't look like them
And the curriculum be tricking them, them dollars I spend
Got us learning about the heroes with the whitest of skin
One thing about the men that's controlling the pen
That write history, they always seem to white-out they sins
Maybe we'll never see a black man in the White House again
I'll write a check to the IRS, my pockets get slim
Damn, do I even have a say 'bout where it's goin'?
Some older nikka told me to start votin'
I said "Democracy is too fukkin' slow"
If I'm givin' y'all this hard-earned bread, I wanna know
Better yet, let me decide, bytch, it's 2018
Let me pick the things I'm funding from an app on my screen
Better that than letting wack congressman I've never seen
Dictate where my money go, straight into the palms of some
Money-hungry company that make guns that circulate the country
And then wind up in my hood, making bloody clothes
Stray bullet hit a young boy with a snotty nose
From the concrete, he was prolly rose
Now his body froze and nobody knows what to tell his mother
He did good at the white man schools unlike his brother
Who was lost in the streets all day, not using rubbers
So right now, he got two on the way
Still sleep on covers in his mama house
She can't take this shyt no more, she want him out
On the morning of the funeral, just as she's walking out
Wiping tears away, grabbing her keys and sunglasses
She remember that she gotta file her taxes, damn

:wow:
