Honestly, I was surprised at certain parts. 1985 is probably the best song I've ever heard from Cole in terms of lyrics. His verse on Brackets was also better than anything I've ever heard him say.
With that said, Cole simply doesn't have the flow to rap. Add that to his lame production and the result is always basura.
I'd say that lyrically this is his best work.

But you can't call an album with verses like this absolute trash.

I'm being honest breh. 1985 is solid writing. The best shyt he's ever written imo. And I can't think of another hip hop song that's like it - a track dedicated to shytting on the new generation while giving some potent advice. The really funny thing is that Cole is basically shytting on himself. He's the gimmick that's wearing thin.
Drake is my man but I don't think I would need to live with Blem and Portland to get the point and what type of music communist are you? is a breh forced to enjoy every album out equally
Rather it sounds like you are trying to hate, because just googling 9th Wonder and Kendrick Lamar produces nothing but positive results or about the shyt they made together for Kendrick or Rapsody
