That last verse on BRACKETS was amazing :mjcry:

Once an addict :banderas:

When he stay in his bag with the introspective flow that’s him at his best. That trap flow is trash

Don't like this album at all. Whether its the beats, hooks or the flow.

way too early for a final input on this jawn, but from first skim through it really just reaffirms what I've felt about this new dreadlock era Cole; be it his growth as a person or a gimmick, he's speaking from a much more mature point of view in his tracks that's so polarizing in comparison to the 808 driven music of today that you need a moment to really digest it.
at the same time, that's not an excuse for subpar music and unnecessary filler, which Cole has a proclivity to produce at times: he's not as lyrically potent as some of the great storytellers in the genre but he's still nice with the pen and his beat selection isn't horrid so while you can vibe with his joints, that "something missing" in a lot of his tracks is a product of the fact that although he's a very introspective artist, he's not the greatest mc and it shows in his bars. the trap flow sounds weird coming from him but he doesn't do it terribly.
