He needs new material!

J Cole raps about the same exact shyt on ever project and I’m including the Come up

He’s covered topics like Once a addict and 1985 numerous times before

I feel like the people praising this album are fans that focus on BARs and if they are good then the song is good. There is no way someone can say the production, hooks and song structure on this project is good
Drake has released the same album over and over. Migos albums are basically interchangeable BUT your fakkit ass won’t critic them for their limited range. You ain’t fooling anyone bruh. You disliked it before you pressed play.

Those guys get complaints about their subject matter all the time on here

I’ve never seen anyone say Cole subject matter is super redundant at that point.

If the music was great it wouldn’t matter but when you release two wack projects in row is stands out more

Cole & Kendrick are going in two different directions at this point

Cole is killing features and making forgettable projects

Kendrick is making big projects and has terrible features

I’m a Cole fam but, this shyt ain’t good outside of three tracks. It’s like I heard this shyt before. I’ve also reached that point where I’m tired of hearing Cole sing

Reasonable critique. I agree. But some
Of ya have the worst reasons of disliking the album.

Have ya even dissected the lyrics and said they trash?

After 2 full listen I’m playing in the back ground while I work. I’m really enjoying this album.

I feel like most of the Cole haters are Kendrick’s Stan’s.

Honestly I feel Cole and Kendrick are on the same level, maybe giving Kendrick the edge
I'm a fan of both but I think Kendrick is better. I can't comment on this or DAMN cause I'm on a listening hiatus but I was curious to see what these nikkas would say.

Brehs be having preconceived notions.

Okay, just rode this thang from top to bottom in the gym, and I must say this is a nice album from Cole. Different from his other shyt, but not so abstract. Honestly, I felt like he dumbed it down sonically to show other contemporary artists he can move in that space if he felt like it.

Solid work.
