I don't get it, Cole isn't even the same type of artist as them cats, he doesn't have a bunch of popular features and super producers or make the same type of songs as they do. Why does Cole getting love bother ya'll so much?

I think this is pretty dope though, I've noticed he has sharpen up his flow recently.. The beat is okay, I need to hear a CDQ but he was spittin on here..

the drums really arent that bad, people are shyttin on them but theyre on tempo and on beat its just an awkward pattern

its actually pretty creative, the real issue with the track imo is that cole has 100s of songs like this, its like the stereotypical beat for cole, plus its a quiet beat and it lacks 'dynamics'

Sometimes I wonder what these Cole haters actually like.

I mean, Big Sean and Drake are cool, but none of them are seeing J Cole lyrically.

The beats are cool. I can't really see any big difference between the beats other rappers spit on and the ones J Cole spit on. I must confess, I'm not too familiar with the technical aspects of it, but the only ones that really stand as different to me are beats on a Kanye West album. That's because they're more epic cinematic beats. Plus I heard that new Papoose album. Most of those beats were antiquated 90's beats. So, on a spectrum, I'd put Kanye on one end and Papoose at the other (I know that Papoose probably didn't produce any of the songs, but still). Most rappers fall somewhere in between the two.

I'm convinced that Cole haters talking about how his rap puts them to sleep don't really care about lyricism at all.
