Does he have enough clout as a producer yet to pull a Kanye...have other producers come in, tell them what kind of beats he wants...maybe throw a random bell or flute on it somewhere...get a "co-production" credit...and have the perception be that he was totally responsible for beat? I'd imagine they'd be the best course to take...he could keep a portion of that producer's publishing he'd be giving up by bringing in outside producers too by doing that

He's not going to completely stop making beats people. I just dont think he want to go through the process of making an album worth of beats from scratch.

he should just let No ID and Just Blaze produce his next album. Not that I had a problem with him producing his own shyt anyway, i actually f*cked with it. That first song on Born sinner though, beat had me like :ohhh::gladbron::ahh:

I've been waiting for this day for so long :banderas:

You don't get this far without taking risks. What's been your biggest creative risk?
Producing all my own songs and refusing to go to the hot producer. That’s the biggest risk I’ve taken so far. Constantly taking that risk by not going to whoever is hot and still be as far as I am. It’s a blessing but it’s also been a huge risk because I’m not using the current hip hop sound. Whoever does the beats for people; I didn’t go run to them. Of course I will now because I want to now, I’m tired of having to make the beats from scratch. Up to this point, that’s been my biggest risk I’ve taken, deciding to do it all on my own, production wise.

3rd album about to be his Hard Knock Life :ohlawd:

If he does half his beats and then get the other half from other producers that would be :blessed:

I don't want him to stop completely because thats how he has kind of built his own sound and I thought the production on Born Sinner was much improved.. Power trip, Forbidden Fruit, She knows, Land of Snakes, and Let Nas Down have good production..... but then when I hear something like "Aint that some shyt" I'm like :patrice: maybe he could have left a few off of there.

So I'm interested to hear him over some other people's production. I wonder which producers he would use... I think Big KRIT could make some great beats for Cole..
krit has produced songs for cole but cole's a faq and won't release any of his left over songs.

No Krit. His sound is too southern for me to enjoy it.

Thats fair :ehh:

But I think he is a little more versatile than you give KRIT credit for....

These two songs are from his latest mixtape and that don't really sound "southern" in my opinion

:whoa: But I'm not saying KRIT should have more than 1 or 2 songs on there

I would want Cole to do production on half, and then have various producers to provide beats for the rest
