EXACTLY, this right here. It so fukking obvious Cole did this in a specific way, to convey a message. The raspyness in his voice, how he is screaming not singing, showing the pain and frustration, raw emotion from a regular person, that's why it sounds just like the song, because he does it on purpose. People still sitting here talking about he cant sing and its "cringeworthy", fukking idiots man.
Real talk... Ever seen a brother say something was "cringeworthy"?:stopitslime:

Sound like something someone who writes video game reviews would say. And they mad that Cole talking about race issues...:ohhh:

c00ns or Macklemore fans?:leostare:

about the first Cole performance i've watched beginning to end and probably the first thing that made respect him as an artist.

the song is better than a big portion of the album.
he's getting better at making songs these sort of songs feel real and they're all coming from him..sounds more natural instead of sounding just like another socially conscious song...for me anyway.

What's with the people commenting on his singing? If you're not listening to artists solely because of technical ability, you're completely missing out on the significance music can hold beyond a melody.

Sam Cooke said it best: "It's not going to be about how pretty the voice is. It's going to be about believing that the voice is telling the truth."

:snoop:

Hate on black people when they address racism, but worship us when we glorify killing each other.

Cole is morphing to a legend before our eyes. If he keeps this up, he can be in the realm of the greats.

You can't be serious. Grow up you fukking geek. Go play a BDP album. Go play an Impressions song. Then get all the way the fukk out my face with this Eeyore looking, PR'd, Jay Z signed snaggle toothed droopy ass Drake counterpunch ass affected twat.

I hate you young people. You guys suck for real. You deserve Cole.

That's easy for a guy with arguably the best singing voice of all time to say.
