Both are dope songs, but let's not act like Bad isn't made by the chorus. Wale's verses are forgettable, but he has the broads loving that song.

Bout to listen to Power Trip again though, I haven't heard it in a while.

Power trip flopped unfortunately.

Wale did a good job of marketing Folarin and dropping Bad.

J. Cole isn't getting any label support even though he had a number 1 album and went gold quickly. It's fukked up.

Well, I think that whenever Power Trip starts getting regular radio play that track will take off.

It might be a slow burner, but that track has hit all over it.

Cole's verses on Power Trip are near Wayne-level bad. "Ass so stupid how the hell you get to college." Straight :weirdo: status. And I say that as someone that fukks with Cole. We shyt on Meek for recycling bars over and over, but Cole might be a worse offender than homie with that shyt.

:what: how did power trip flop :heh:

its a top 50 song in the country after a month and its approaching gold while rising more than pretty much any other rap song every week. There isn't even a video yet :childplease:

I give "power trip" a slight edge because it has a double meaning on some "I used to love her" shyt

You have ... Miguel

You have.... J. Cole's sophomore return

You have ... the r&b song for the chicks etc.

But it seems like Wale's track is getting a lot more play than J. Cole's. And it's a dope song, dope beat etc. But I don't think this is gonna be the one. It's been out for over 6 weeks bro. It's not catching the steam it needs.

it doesn't just automatically soar into the top 40 breh ....

it took bad 2 months to get there

Power Trip is just getting started, just like work out for cole earlier and swimming pools. Unless you drake/wayne/kanye you're rap song gotta do a slow climb, look at everyone. Cole isn't an exception to that, he's not that big

power trip it better but bad is getting more love :(

exactly what I was saying to @KF but maybe it's because of the Maybach Music marketing machine. Rozay follows Diddy's formula to the Tee and it seems like Roc Nation is really only handling behind the scenes work so Cole is doing it on his own.

This song dropped on Valentines Day @KF. If a lovish type song drops on that day, you expect it to heat up the charts and peak rather quickly. Unfortunately, I think this song may be a slow riser and he will have to drop something hot for the summer in order to get more of the masses. I could be wrong though.
