Ain't no way in hell I'm listening to that whole interview because Cole is long winded as fukk. But this 9 minutes is all I needed to see. If you can listen to this and STILL believe Cole wasn't petrified of Kendrick then you are a sucker ass bytch. This weak ass clown said he thought about sending Kendrick a text to make sure he wasn't offended by 7 minute drill :dead: :dead: :dead:

Nahhhhhhhhhh bro. Cole is a whole nother level of soft. I'm cryin right now:russ::dead:.....even during this 9 minute clip he sounds terrified of making Kendrick mad. This shyt is 1000 times worse than the actual apology :pachaha:

Kendrick is really the fukkin Boogeyman wtf :deadrose:

Man talked shyt for years about how no one could see him in the mic, he got challenged, he dropped a diss, apologized saying it didn’t feel right and he was going to take the song down immediately, but left it up until first week numbers came out.

He talks about how the beef was going to go too far but is still out here defending the guy that crossed the line first asking why everyone picking on Drake knowing dude has a history of being a habitual line stepper.

Sometimes trying to remain neutral is picking a side.

He definitely made a choice and people are shytting on him for it.

You want to back out because it was going to get nasty but then come out months later and say you would’ve come out on top if you stayed in?

No one wants to hear that shyt.

You say rap beef is bad and would weigh heavy on you when it’s Dot but you’ve got no problem dedicating a verse to some local rapper on your latest project? Yeah, people are going to clown you.

Show me where he says he would have come out in top if he stayed in?

They cleared up the misconception surrounding the lawsuit issue nicely.

Seems like they were both wrong in the situation but Cole definitely

He fukks with Drake more personally because they have similar backgrounds. Both came from broken homes raised by a white mother and rarely seeing their black father. Both dropped acclaimed mixtapes that put them on the map. Both came up through co-signs from legendary rappers. Both had to fight the studio system on their major label debuts. They’ve got a lot in common.

Cole fukks with Kendrick as an artist because Kendrick is easily and handily the best of his generation, and everyone can see it and agree to it. Its like how Jay-Z personally fukked with Biggie as a person while admiring Nas’s prodigious talent.

At the end of the day, Cole knows battling Kendrick would have been the fight of his life and he would have lost, so he apologized and moved on, but he didn’t want to see Drake get slaughtered, because thats the guy he has the affinity for.

This is Stan shyt lol

Cole was a supporter of Kendrick before he signed to Dre. Giving him beats and collaborating with him before Section 80. came out. On the Inevitable podcast he described their first meet ups as like when you were a kid and went to your cousins house

Kendrick has brought Cole out on his tour on stage unannounced multiple times. He shouted Cole out on MM&TBS and on another track that didn’t make the album.

Just last year Cozz posted a text from Cole that showed a a text from Dot about how he like his album and the direction he’s going with.

So...thanks for confirming what Ziggiy is saying.
Like he said, Cole fukks with Kendrick as an artist.

They were never friends, and when it comes to Kendrick, his support messages were mostly PR...we have multiple sources saying Kendrick doesn't even respect Cole as an artist.

Kendrick even liked Budden message in 2017 where he says Cole was a mediocre storyteller.

In that specific interview Cole says he loves Kendrick and Drake but they were never close like that, they used to talk to each other maybe once or twice a year :dead: Cole even says he often wants to text Kendrick but feels unsure where Kendrick stands.

All explicit “friendship” language comes from J. Cole, but there is no public interview, quote, or recording where Kendrick Lamar explicitly says “J. Cole is my friend.”

Kendrick even stopped respecting the nikka, like Hed said, he never wanted that supposed joint album to see the light of day, believing it would tarnish the standard of his own critically acclaimed discography.

Y'all some weird people, its mental illness stan shyt that have taken over the coli. If you supporting someone before they're popular that means you respect them as a person and consider them a friend. I know mental illness stan culture have Y'all thinking people do things out of some weirdo benefit of " he seen him was supremely talented" when in reality you're wanting to see them be successful. Lots of supremely talented people in this world, people dont randomly invest time in them with no benefit promised cause they talented

:pachaha: i actually enjoyed the interview. He was much more open with Cam than Nadeska.

I dont see nor hear what yall hear to call him soft scared or a bytch. We don’t know him personally only j cole the rapper persona.

I do wish he would have told the full story of the puff altercation. Puff has been terrorizing the world for 30 years and hes the only rapper to put hands on him lol that’s wild. Puff deserves to get piled on dude beats women can’t respect it
