Cole's late career rapping has started to put him that bar-for-bar category where he can hold is weight with a lot of the 90's/2000's finest. Cole came in the game imo on some Kanye lite s*** but a southern NY'er tip. He's got more classic songs that I'd personally listen to over any of OP's trio.

His only knock is that I can only identify him with maybe one iconic piece of work (The Warm Up). His best project to me personally is 4YEO. As a whole, his discography contains some mid (first two albums are snooze status, even 2014 Forrest Hill Drive is mid content wise imo). His last three solo projects have been better and ROTD 3 is S-Tier status.

J Cole is trash. His music is very lackluster. I have hardly ever heard him on the radio and have heard someone play j Cole on the Bluetooth maybe a total of 3 times. And i kick it with people that like all types of music from back then to now

J. Cole just doesn't do it for me. Based on the songs that I've heard, you would think this nygga just got out of high school/college, when the mufukka is around my age range.

I'm not sure why he isn't called out for making little kid music, but perhaps there's more to his catalog. When I hear some of his shyt, it's like why is he writing this in his 30s.

This thread is going to upset the guys who were wearing enyce and copped 4pack $20 tall Ts. But if we want to keep it reality non of those guys carried the torch in their respected eras or was considered to be Mt. Rushmore status for a decade of work. Maybe Jada off the strength of his 16s and guest appearances But his solo work is lacking.

Cole feature run is just as good as Jada. He’s able to get on a track with 21, Royce, Benny The Butcher, Lil Tjay and BIA and fit seamlessly. He aArena tour/festival headliner. He’s put out classic tapes and albums. Cole is on another tier.
