so now that i know it's about noname, i thought he brought up two important things:
- always try to educate people, don't shame them because they're not up on game like you, that just drives them off. not every rapper/celeb grew up in a woke home
- he basically admits he thinks he might not doing enough at the end
i don't know. i don't think it's that bad of an introspection.
anyway i always find weird criticizing celebrities on these issues for the reasons outlined in the chappelle monologue that came out and it's hard to say, you really never know what a lot of these celebrities are doing with their money and when they announce what they're doing with tier money to you it comes off as disingenuous. i have always preferred people keep their charity private, otherwise it just looks like public relations, especially in the modern era.
plus Cole literally went out on Dave Letterman's show and performed be free 6 years ago, so it's really hard for me to buy into the fact that the dude doesn't care about police brutality.
but i don't know.
i thought he was flowing incredibly though.
