why wouldnt he? Pac responded to almost everyone who dissed him or who he thought dissed him, thats why he feuded with Nas.

if he felt he was the one on the receiving end of Noname's subliminal message he would have posted a tweet/or made a song as a response that would have a more rough tone than what Cole had here.

Seriously, do you know who his mom and aunt are? He would be the last one coming at a black woman activist about her fukking tone.

And this wouldn't even happen because pac wouldnt have been silent to the point noname would question where he was at?

You sound stupid

nah your the idiotic sounding nikka here, Noname is not afeni or assata. She just like all these other "woke" chicks.

its not about Pac being quiet, our post are about how people finding coles response as offensive but praise Pac, when Pac would have had a more "offensive" response

Are we now pretending his fans didn't use to talk about how smart you had to be to understand his lyrics?

That tweet is 100% on point even with Cole mainly being down to earth. His fans absolutely placed him on a higher pedestal than he was placing himself and maybe it just now hit.

Bro like I said, HE never put that label onto himself. You're right about his fans exaggerating who he is, but that's on them and the people who took offense to that. Cole was never out here acting like he was way more educated and informed than the next man. In fact, he talked shyt about his college experience early on in his career. So this idea that he needs to live up to expectations that others have put on to him is the whole entire reason why we're at this point right now.

She really isn't. But okay. Go off.

You're in here calling her a dumb bytch and all of this. You need to chill.

I agree, I agree. I'm not mad at cole, but I do think it was a mistake and I think it has the potential to open up a good discussion moving forward because that's the kind of guy Cole is. That's why I appreciated him being even more honest.

It's just optics at the end of the day. I don't think this will be no back or forth or cancelation. People are just a lil disappointed, a lot of it from expectations they set for him.

100%

I think cole just got in his feelings and went about it wrong. Hell, even a tweet back and forth asking for a convo would have been better. He did more with lil pump when they were saying fukk j Cole for a year.

It's just weird. And I'm curious to see how this develops because I only see it moving forward positively. Cole isn't a stupid nikka. This is a learning lesson. All it is.

nikkas in here are tripping but you can tell most people are just hurt and kinda confused about the way he did this and why.

Well he made a song going at lil pump too:manny:

That's understandable but he still did an hour video sit down with him. He could have done the same with noname and it would have actually meant something.

She just did something with boots Riley so it was more than possible.

i mostly agree with this
as for the bold: Kendrick isnt a scholarly dude either nor is his music the case either, hes not even really a concious artist
Now Lupe your kinda right on, Lupe has painted himself and set himself up to be that artist. Hell i'll say as a Lupe fan, If that tweet was about Lupe I could understand given Lupe is that type of guy. and he gives his opinion on everything, and fits the mold of the concious rapping, trying to be scholar guy type. so if people have gripes with what he does in this lane on being looked at as a intellectual, its understandable.
But Kendrick and Cole are not scholarly dudes or artist. Both of them are not even concious artist really. Their style is more introspective. Although Cole sometimes borders and dives into concious raps on records. Either way neither are intellectuals

shyt, you're right. This was a good breakdown.

I dont have a problem with the song, he's a rapper. He's addressing the situation

I find it funny how people are reacting to this song. Like all the rapping is nice and the beat cool but people can't get over the fact that Cole is being criticized. She does have shyt to educate people and she herself has educated herself after being dragged on twitter. I don't think people are saying he's some vile creature but you'd think by the end of the verse there'd be more self awareness. He's talking about her tone on twitter and her sounding like she has no interest in trying to get people woke when in reality she does. It's like him seeing a few of her tweets and feeling offended at how sure of herself she sounds and speaking on it.

It's the I respect you queen but stop talking like you better than me is a lot of how this comes across and is why he's getting this reaction. That's what's coming across misogynistic, but people see that word and think this man HATES women like nah lol.

I also hate how people have a problem with him expressing this though.

And of course there are people that take this too far and be like
giphy.gif

like relax. Some people acting like he straight up spit on her lol.

Him having some songs with good messages and all that doesn't mean he's impervious to critique as he said himself lol.

This era of feminist hoes would have hated Tupac.

Which is funny given some of the same women who put "Happy b day Pac" yesterday would HATE him if he was alive today.

hell his version of a song like this would prolly be a little more rough and vulger.

Cole is giving you the nice version of that and they think he is aggressive:pachaha:

:pachaha:
