Nah I'm serious...he's really overrated. I can't quite understand the hype. Mind helping me out? :ld:

this is all posthumous material, he didn't even produce this. this is for the hardcore heads still wanting whatever's left

the thing is if you don't like a lot of slum village, pharcyde, tribe, his work with common, or Donuts (that super dope instrumental album he did in the hospital as he was dying), it's really hard to convince you. check that stuff out, i mean there's tons of other tracks here and there and newer albums as well, but i'd start with that

if you're not feeling it, you're not :manny:

the death of any artist will make that artist's music more popular than ever, and if you weren't feeling it from the jump, a lot of it seems overrated. dilla's a beast with these chops and drums, and a lot of his beats the artist gotta find the pocket to rhyme in. he can go from dirty to smooth to gritty to bouncy and the sound still seems his

and like poster above said, your average person isn't going to know who he is. all the 'heads' will, i mean the people that really exclusively listen to the underground smooth hip hop are going to gas him up hard. everyone should know who dilla is and probably have some songs they like that he produced, they jsut dont know
