They don’t see what they do as “lyrical” per say. Lyrical is strictly East Coast type rap but they’re still influenced by Lupe Fiasco, Kendrick, Kanye, Cole, of course Outkast alongside Jeezy, T.I. Gucci and Wacka. They’d tend to shy away from the Slaughterhouses, Papoose’s, Elzhi’s, Skyzoo’s, and bar heavy rappers like that which would be considered lyrical miracle types.

Thousands of artists in all genres have millions of listeners. That doesn’t mean everyone automatically knows who they are, plus labels do fugazi shyt with stream numbers sometimes.

I’ve never heard a Sexxy Red song in my life. But I know who she is because she’s everywhere and people talk about her online and irl. I’ve never heard anyone speak about a jid until this thread.

That ain’t necessarily a bad thing, considering a lot of new black artists these days go viral for degenerate behavior in order to blow up. It’s probably a good thing that some of us have never of jid until now. If we chose to check him out now, the music would speak for itself.
