Yeah ive heard him a few times and he just makes me think of Kendrick. I am an album guy and I don't like to skip songs and I def give people a chance but if I'm always thinking of someone else when you rhyme I can't get into it. I catch a lot of heat for not liking him but it just doesn't do anything for me. For the record I hated kendricks new album too so its not a kdot stan issue.

first time i listened to it i thought it was pretty good, second time i listened i grabbed a few more songs. now im big on every song except the one with Earthgang. AOTY status

Its literally just his voice. JID is STRAIGHT Atlanta through and through.
I've always said there's NOT much, if anything, that he can't do as an artist. Verses are always tight, hes relatable, he has a story, and his hooks are crisp. Perhaps he's NOT marketable, but hes respected and can seem to sound fine next to all kinds of artists.
I just hope we wont have to wait another 4 years.
His hatred is silly. Kendrick album is amazing. Every song is a story or has a clear theme. Lol.no just no
