I know many people think that winning rap battles and street cred is the end of everything but it really isn't. The end is to make money. And looking at this rap battle in that light, Drake needs to be careful he doesn't destroy his brand. Drake is mainstream. He's risen above all of the infighting between rappers to become arguably the biggest rapper in the history of rap. It wouldn't be surprising to see Drake stumping for a major politician or going on the mainstream news outlets.
you mean like Pusha T?

maybe Drake should spend more time in the pig pen with a grown man like Pusha T and less time worried about memes/having secret babies with porn stars :ohhh:

But if he dives down into the pig pen where Pusha T has taken this battle, well...he could easily lose everything he's worked for. Let Pusha T do his thing and keep it moving.
Dude shut the fukk up. You crackers wanna think yall can change the rules of hip hop. Oh now dudes suddenly above beef now that he got his issue. Kill yourself.

I respect the legend of lil j.. even told stories/situations of j prince

And at the same time I have said he is not the same nomore .. he too much in the spotlight n runnin his mouth a lot .. sumthin he never did in the 90s

I said before 90s j .. wouldn’t be poppin up every 6 months givin Beatrice courtesy calls bout delinquent payments .. j would have send a couple of them kamikaze wet heads out the 5th to touch baby vs this bill collector shyt

Me n pops was talkin bout j yesterday n was like if rap was the horror genre .. rapalof records is the nightmare on elm street series.. feared in the beginning because u knew Freddy(j) was legendary in the beginning.. overtime it became laughable a parody of its former self.... new era new generation don’t respect it .. so it has to reboot itself to try n install n recapture the legend

Pusha should put pressure on drake let the ammo loose

J not losing money from it its baby artist ..

It’s far more disrespectful lyrics n actions made in rap.. pac jay cam Quik cube cam etc said waaay more stuff than push

This would be the same situation if it was Kendrick.. Kendrick like Pusha don’t have skeletons u can’t find shyt or get ppl to talk like u can with drake meek n others

Y drake didn’t try dot

He disses Pusha n wanted ye .. n ye is expossble that’s who drake really want since the world lookin at ye bad

How does one respond exactly to being ethered? :jbhmm:

What Drake will do now is throw a couple of slick bars about being the "bigger person". Something his stans can use to save face. But the damage is done :umad:
"I don't need to tally record sales and networth to know I'm the bigger man" -drake voice

Lol, I have no horse in the fight, but it's silly to compare Drake and Pusha T. It's like comparing Kobe to Rueben Patterson. I'm not sure what the pictures are suppose to prove, but if you're trying to convince me that Pusha T is somehow on the same level as Drake you can post a million pictures and it won't make a difference.

This is a great example of my post put into action. At some point it just makes no sense to respond to some people. They just take things to places where they don't need to go.

It has been fascinating hearing the conversations about this rap battle. On the one hand, are people who say, "Hey, say whatever you need to do to win." And, on the other hand, are people like me who realize that a no holes barr barred rap battle could potentially be bad for a rapper who's trying to create a brand that can cross racial, cultural and economic lines. A no holes barred rap battle means nothing else matters but winning. But you see, something else does matter more than winning. The brand you have worked tirelessly to create and maintain. J Prince spoke on this issue quite eloquently. Pusha T went and talked about the Drake's Mother, Father and Son. Where does this go now? Where does Drake take this now in a response? Regardless, this is likely a career defining moment for Drake.
