I know he had some sort of revelation after Pimps Dont Pay Taxes that led him to believe hip hop was harmful or some shyt like that. sounds like he went off and turned into a citizen.
I was amazed listening to this album. Zone is a GREAT lyricist and comedian that's always been the case.
He actually made a classic for the over 30 Hip Hop crowd and made it sound dope. Props to the OP for putting me on to this. I'll cop this at Amoeba in a few.
I rarely post, but had to login for this. Great album.
Remember copping Pimps Don't Pay Taxes at the Fat Beats in L.A. when it was still around- the one on Melrose. J-Zone never disappoints. This is why I still check this site, had no idea he had a new album dropping.
