On the surface thats what it sounds like and I wont argue back n forth with the point cuz I agree a tiny bit but there was a sizable difference in styles.

50 was using melodic raps and 90% of the content was gangsta shyt.

Ja committed and was doing actual singing duets and love ballads trying to hold notes with the premium cookie monster vocal chords. He went FULL R&B and abandoned the hood shyt.

Exactly.

50 was on the sing songy shyt from the jump. There is quite a bit of difference between 21 questions and singing in the fukking rain with Mary J Blige...like legit writing R&B records, which is a skill of course but trying to croon them yourself? 50 was doing what he ALWAYS did vocally and content wise.

He wasn't crooning like Ja, EVER, he simply made melodic singles that targeted women. Trying to conflate the two things is a very surface level observation that serves a particular agenda.

Yeah

Same pockets tonally. You could put best friend over the good die young beat and it wouldn't sound much different if at all.

Nobody waited for Fif's permission to decide that a lot of what Ja was doing was kinda faggy and grating, that came naturally.

i have the stevie wonder single he jacked, its the Do i Do single with 'Rocket Love' on the B-side is a classic (rocket love was the hook for gzas cold world). why did stevie let him do that to his song man damn :damn:

im fine with interpolations but ja rules music is just objectively awful

if Nelly did this song it would be 1000x better

:wtf:
