For the most part, yeah. Post-Eminem era 50 has done dirt musically in most eyes. I didn't like anything much after GRODT, personally.

He's buried musically. I'm sure Ja and Irv could work out some hits nowadays, as they were genuinely good at it. 50 can't.
I see 2 for 5s still a thing:mjlol:

Don’t know where you got that information from

but it’s been stated he was dropped because he got shot

and you had to be doing something right for a record label to put some of their best artist on your 1st album

plus he caught the attention of the biggest rapper in the world

He caught the attention of every rapper he dissed with that track. It still flopped. His other problem was Pretty Ugly shut down his single Life is on the Line. NYC was more hype off PU's freestyle, because they hadn't fully heard the track yet. Even if he didn't get shot, they were gonna shelve him. There were no bidding wars for him after that, and he was the average NYC rapper for 2-3 years, only known for beefin with Ja.

I don’t think that matters considering his value has gone up with his TV shows. If Ja and Irv could work out some hits..they probably could’ve done it by now. Maybe they will after the Verzus, but both Ja and Irv are consumed with their beef for 50.

But that happened AFTER 50 was signed. AFTER Eminem put his career on the line for 50. I get it you don’t like Eminem, but don’t try to revise history.

I’m a fan of his but I do give constructive criticism. But Dre doesn’t get enough credit. He’s birthed everyone’s career from NWA to Snoop, Em, 50, The Game, Kendrick and others. Even gave life to other artists producing their albums like Busta. Dre just plays the back field and doesn’t care cause he’s filthy rich.

The way he tells it, he instantly signed to Stretch LOL. Which means his career was DOA. He spit that ish for Stretch, Stretch told him to come back, he played Life on Line beat and told PU to go over that beat with the same ish, for the now famous freestyle...and signed with him. It took off. But through his relationship with Whoo Kid & 50, he kept gettin placements, but couldn't get out the streets. Shootouts, homi cases and jail. He's out in LA now, and released some new songs like 7-8 years ago.
