I don't know, being a losing squad over the years didn't stop them from being competitive this year. They are well coached and had young talent which is why they were winning, they just lost a big piece of that talent equation and it could have long lasting effects on his career.

The only positive for them is that they have Giannis and his development can soften the blow of Jabari getting hurt.

That's such a ridiculous myth. Hell Durant and Westbrook were on a completely garbage team and grew to learn to win without bringing in many people.

Kevin Durant is Kevin Durant. On top of that, what they were doing wasn't tanking and their circumstances were completely different than anything we've seen in recent memory. The Thunder might as well have been an expansion team.

Why go back to the dumpster? Mainly because they're not going to get anyone in free agency and now 1b. of their franchise foundation blew a tire, they should do their best to fill that 2 guard spot with a talented player like Johnson or Winslow.
