I had an old Chinese lady as a customer when I sold hifi and I put her in a room playing Rush Hour without knowing, when I came back to check on her, she was literally in tears laughing. She was a Chinese immigrant and older than Jackie Chan. So I'm calling 🧢.
A customer you just put in a room? :wtf:

i always find it weird he doesnt like the rush hour movies and i get the reasons why..but it finally crossed him over in america and made him a bankable star..on top of it in the outtakes he seemingly enjoys working on the movies to boot

I had to check and this is an interview from last year where he was explaining how he didn’t understand American humour initially as he was pretty much fresh off he boat and the context for the jokes didn’t translate in his head. The way this has been clipped up makes it seem like he’s saying he still doesn’t like the films :beli:

The clip says INITIALLY, the post says STILL.
Why do you people need to lie about such pointless things.

Dude was like at first I didn’t understand anything, by the second one I understood a little bit.

Despite our fond memories for the movies if we keeping it a buck it was every negative stereotype about black/asian people in one flim :manny: . Plus l both C Tucker and J Chan had tone their real acting chops for that mvie.

Petty Vandross.. fukk Yall
Mind you this nikka dressed up as Chun Li in CityHunter :russ:
Every last one of his Chinese movies are just as over the fukking top
This ain’t have shyt to do with understanding western culture
He just didn’t have confidence in the script until them bankroll fresh started hitting that account
shyt he did an old ass buddy cop movie where his white partner got killed in New York and it was filmed there
So he knew what western culture was even back then
Don’t let that Triad connected/CCP oop lie to yall face like that :Kd:
