Just because the money is earmarked doesn't mean that cities will actually see it considering we've seen the misappropriation of funds on a grand scale especially recently in Mississippi. They'll give the funds to whiter more wealthier cities while the poorer ones are shyt out of luck.I considered moving to Jackson for a nanosecond.
You'd think that Biden Infrastucture money would fix this, If the money is earmarked then it shouldn't be a problem.
Yeah but Jackson is the capital, politicans work there so you'd think for that reason alone that they'd put a band-aid on the problem.Just because the money is earmarked doesn't mean that cities will actually see it considering we've seen the misappropriation of funds on a grand scale especially recently in Mississippi. You’re giving white racists too much credit. Time to stopYeah but Jackson is the capital, politicans work there so you'd think for that reason alone that they'd put a band-aid on the problem.
lead pipes are a nationwide problem they reported that Newark's drinking water had more lead in it than Flint (Flint's water was more fukked by chemicals though) but they got a lot of people used to drinking bottled water so there's that.Folks this is on purpose

'Water is a human right': City of Jackson still in dire need of infrastructure help to fight water crisis | CNN
Laurie Bertram Roberts walks 3 miles down a nearby hill to the store to fill up her 5-gallon jug with filtered water. The mother of seven makes the trip every week to make sure she has 1 gallon for each family member.www.cnn.com
“After the storm last year, leaders of the majority Black community begged the state for $47 million for water and sewer repairs, but the legislature gave them only $3 million. The Environmental Protection Agency also recently announced $74.9 million in federal water and sewer infrastructure funds for Mississippi. However, the mayor says it would take $2 billion to fully repair and replace the dated system that has too much lead in its water.”
It’s always fun watching people handwave shyt on here. I’m not sure a quote can be more damning of how this was done on purposelead pipes are a nationwide problem they reported that Newark's drinking water had more lead in it than Flint (Flint's water was more fukked by chemicals though) but they got a lot of people used to drinking bottled water so there's that.
That situation was years in the making even before that infrastructure bill came into play.
With that being said, where is that one breh that arguing a few weeks ago that Jackson, Mississippi was poppin
I think it was @Joe Biden (Fisher) who said it.
Well not everything is part of a nefarious plot. Lead pipes seemed lilke a good idea when they wee laid 150 years ago Now we know about lead poisioning. It’s always fun watching people handwave shyt on here. I’m not sure a quote can be more damning of how this was done on purpose
