A music video for "House or Hotel" dropped a a couple weeks ago or so:

@stomachlines You done came around on Jacquees? His music straight-up sounds like early-mid 2000's R&B.

Some of the beats he sings over sound aight, but his singing doesn't sound much different from what every other cat in "R&B" is doing now.
Honestly, I don't hear the early to mid 2000's R&B when i hear his music
When i think about early to mid 2000's, this is what i think of when i think great singing and songwriting.

:ohhh: I saw a poster on the KTT forums mention that "23" gives off early 2000's Usher vibes. Jacquees does sorta sound like early 2000's Usher on the hook, especially at the end of the song.

Album bunps. It's a shame he gets more exposure for buffoonery than his great music.

I think Birdman encourages this shyt. Young Thug was doing the same. Putting out great, influential music but only gaining buzz for antics,

:me: You can't convince me that songs like "23", "You", "House or Hotel", & etc. wouldn't have been hits n 2000's.

His singing on "23", "You" and "House or Hotel" sounds like every autotune song from the last couple of years; almost all of these new cats in the game now be auto tuning and whiny on records, their singing be so high pitch and not in a falsetto way at all, just auto tune.

From the songwriting to the production, his stuff sounds like 2018.
He might sample a couple of songs from the 2000's, but his songs don't sound like 2000's r&b
