Quees is getting there ... he coulda nixed about 6 songs from this and it woulda been much more solid but I fux with it ... he’s showing signs of growth... he literally reached back to some
R&b giants in JE, DJ, and XScape. He knows what he needs to do and the groundwork is being laid. Got some songwriting help ... now he just needs help with his arrangements and song structure to really, consistently move from mixtape Quees to charting album Quees. I still have faith in homie... I feel like he’s been doing this with very little artistic direction and now either him and/or someone else starting point him in the right direction .



Oh and he doesn’t need to fukk with hardly none of the r&b artists in his lane around his age range ... Trey and Chris gave him duds ... them niccas are static anyway ... he needs to stay far away from them.

that was my assessment earlier in the thread. him being on cash money aint doing hime no favors, they're not going to help him develop into the singer/artist he has potential to be and the only other reason to be there would be securing a big feature from drake/nicki (or a wayne) but they don't really fukk with birdman so i don't see that happening. need a label that's about that r&b life. would also love to see him connect with bryan michael cox, keep working with donnell, get some stuff from tank, and even pull out babyface. i was disappointed by the collaboration with breezy, his music is hit or miss for me these days, but i would have expected the better, more soulful chris to show up on this, not LA function chris.



as for the album, some of the songs in the middle grew on me. overall it's a solid B+ album to me

Little nikka aight at best, but he ain't vocally better than Miguel, Luke James, Sammie, Lloyd, trev, & few others.

This is what I’m saying. Do people on The Coli know what vocal talent really is? I kinda like Jacquees but let’s not get ahead of ourselves here.

Any guy that needs auto tune backing him in the studio isn’t vocally talented to me. I like some of dude’s music but it’s hilarious that people think he’s more skilled than Usher.

oh you done took me back with that one. Bryan Michael Cox made alot of my favourite R&B jams that I still play to this day. He would sure make some fire music with Jacquees.

it was stickied when it dropped last week.. the fact that theres only 4/5 people in here talking about it.. one being who happens to not only have the most posts.. but, also happened to join the night it leaked.. says enough..

moving forward.. we sticky all kinds of music.. folks get to crying, when something they specifically like isnt stickied.. its the way posters are around here..
