People are hella ignant thinking Ella Mai drew up the papers and sent to Jacquees lol. Its the label that did it. Which is still stupid because remix spins count as originals spins.

They did this shyt to me when I remixed LMFAO’s Party Rock and made the joint “Osama Bin Laden Is dead” shyt hit a million views in a day and they sent them Cease n desists joints hella quick :lolbron:

:mjlol: breh Jaquees gets stupid play among females and dude records get spun heavy at parties I don't think shorty bigger than dude
Why do y’all do this? They’re both pretty much in the same spot. Ella has had a bit more mainstream success with a top 10 (did it hit 1?) hit, but neither is established. Both could be wiped out tomorrow without much fanfare. To think she should let a song SHE’S CURRENTLY working, one she broke and made popular, get sidelined by someone else also looking for ways to breakthrough is stupid AF

Edit:it’s also Ella’s fans, and big von, that finally got boo’d up to break on radio, all these fans you say quees got ain’t getting his shyt to radio. He has a song here and there that he pushes to radio but ain’t no movement behind him yet

Jacquees was just paying homage to Ella and wanted to remix the song because he loved it. I don't think it was a case of him malicously stealing her song trying to capitalize off its momentum.

Even though I like Ella's version, Jacquess just made it a better song because he's more talented and his vocals breathe some life into the song.

Ella doesnt have a distinguishable voice or the ability to take over a song like that. She sounds flat on every song I heard her on but her music is more about the vibes so I get the appeal

Some yall trippin

It’s her song. Idc if he did it better, he taking away her shine and food off her plate essentially

I liked Tpains remix too but he didn’t put it on spotify or have it playing on radio. You DO make money off it being on radio.

Of course label gonna try to stop it

Should’ve made his own song

Hip hop is all about taking someone's music, remixing it, and making it hotter.
No, it’s not

Thats the problem now. Be original. Sampling shyt from the 60’s is totally different than what this nikka just did (and I’m actually not a fan of sampling).

She JUST put out a song and got it poppin then this guy wants to “remix” the entire somg without her being involved and without labels permission...

It’s called stealing. Pain did it but didn’t promote it and didnt make money off it. It was essentially a cover.

Hip hop is all about taking someone's music, remixing it, and making it hotter.

Its a big number of people who think like this too. hell jacquees prob thinks like this his own damn self :mjlol:

i'd hop in a car with nikkas and when they bout to play a fire song i fukk with, they play some bootleg remix version:shaq2: like "this shyt better huh :myman:"

mannnn, but its no hate on jacquees man make some good R&B tunes, just dont fw the remixes
