That's why Jadakiss is one of the greats. Hes lyrical, but makes sense.

You're speaking to the fact that people use the "lyricist" label very broadly. Jadakiss is a great punch line lyricist and sometimes a great storyteller, he's not the greatest of poets or songwriters or concept writers though.

They're different skills, what's impressive is when they're mixed together. When you got the hard hitting street lyricism and the poetic language to take it in different directions it's something else... Most people come off corny when they try to do it though.

Aaahhaa! Jada kiss is a best I still don't know his buzz in LA ain't like it is in NY
But he is a beast definitely top 5 doa in NY without even thinking.

And he does make sense in his lyrics.
But with Jay, Fab, biggie ( Brooklyn )they take step further and weave a theme through out the verses or will mention something in first verse and will tie it back in later. Levels to this sh!t. That takes a lot more work especially if when you consider Jay and big don't or didn't write anything down
