Few quick points:
These dudes will sell heroin and pimp out women, or at least have advertised as such, and they see it as just another hustle, selling this bullshyt to the underclasses. So, we shouldn't be surprised, if they are ethically ok with promoting this shameful shyt. However, if they have any marketing or PR people left, they are fukking up, by letting their clients tarnish their brand this way. Jada can't be hurting for money that bad, he probably just isn't thinking long term with this, it's just a quick turn and burn. If I was Jada's PR guy, I would tell him to flip this around, instead of taking the bag money from the Wake Up Now guys, or if he's thinking he'll just play off his fame and get some residual income coming in, whatever….what I would advise is to publicly denounce Wake Up Now, read a statement, go all the way in on them, esp. about their targeting and exploitation of urban demographics, get local publicity in NY, bring attention to this. Get an article in the Times, WSJ, NY Magazine, whatever. Use this to gain attention, and a new lane to move in as an activist, other artists will follow suit, capitalize on positive publicity instead of selling yourself short for short money and negative connotations. This hurts Jadas brand, it doesn't build it.
rappers aint rich okay......like most of em dont have a million bucks. Dont let the presentation on IG fool you. There is probably around 15-20(if that) rappers with over a million..the rest are flexing.
jada juelz jim jones...dey dudes on they last couple dollars. Fact....aint nobody bookin dem dudes for nothing
at least the lox did that trinity ep...they sold around 10k records...thats about ummm 30k split 3 ways so ummm yea that should hold em off for a bit
brehs if Styles P joints this MLM scam I will stop listening to hip hop
throw out my boombox and four finger rings
and spend my life chewing ecstasy while bumpin some EDM from prague![]()
YupThat's what I'm thinking as well honestly. Which is what makes it worse.
Juelz, Jada...obviously they ain't struggling but they ain't wealthy either. And anyone with any sort of industry sense like them would atleas realize how bad of an idea it is to join a company where you only receive compensation for signing other people up or where they have to pay to "be in the company" (I put that in quotes cause that statement is really vague when one is working as an independent contractor with an MLM) to sell their "products" (most of them get their products from independent manufacturers from third parties...outsourced sales). It's not worth it.
I've seen the pictures of the men that are at the top of wake up now and they'll never appear in any of these videos EVER. You know why? Cause that would reveal too much about their intents from what I gathered. These MLMs pretty much specifically prey on low income people of color...blacks especially...and sell them magic beans and pipe dreams. They use rappers to connect to their audience/demographic. They showcase that flashy lifestyle that they want...and sucker them into this "residual income" swill.
It's unethical and just disgusting.
