NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Right, he literally said he’d prefer to listen to one when he’s alone, and another around the women. Doesn’t even seem that controversial of a take tbh.
No. He said he prefers one over the other. He volunteered that information to the world. And then when nikkas called him out on that line of thinking. He basically told nikkas to mind they business like an internet thot who don't like opposing opinions. Also. Son basically exposed himself as fraudulent. Because he been riding the wave of "lyricists" and "real rappers" during his whole rollout of trying to establish himself. Just for him to get a lil popular and say this. All around. Some nikkas just need to know when to shut the fukk up. They end up putting their foot in their mouths every time. To even compare these hip hop albums in the first place gotta be some of the most retarded shyt ever. Who in they right mind would seriously compare shyt like CLIPSE and Freddie which is actual well crafted hip hop records to some Metro Boomin shyt. In a way it kinda comes off backhanded like he's tryna downplay them shyts.

That second tweet is a thread in itself.

When did women liking rap songs become some sort of barometer for if something is good or not??
Nikkas ain't give a fukk if bytches loved some gritty sounding Mobb deep or Wu tang back when they had their runs, why has this become such a talking point now?

I want to hear great rapping, that doesnt usually go hand in hand with what a woman can vibe to.

We had rnb if he wanted to set a lighter mood

Yeah it's some weird takes in here. He didn't say anything wrong. He said he plays the Metro around the women because it turns them up. The Clipse album isn't for that even though personally it's between them and Stepbrothers 4 for my album of the year.

“I DONT HAVE TO STOP DOING ANYTHING. YALL GOTTA STOP WORRYING ABOUT WTF I PREFER.”

:wow:

How can that even be argued against? There ain’t some kinda law that someone HAS to be in love with certain music. I salute his repudiation of rap smarkdom
Easy. He volunteered what he prefers to the world. He wanted the engagement. Now he got it.

Hip hop being valued by women’s taste is how we got low quality strip club jingle music. I give it to NY chicks back in the day. They valued niqqas with lyrics. Chicks would spit Prodigy’s opening bars to the Quiet Storm remix from their chests at the Tunnel. Cant see that happening anywhere else.

This is why R&B was so great. You could throw it on for the women and you didn’t have to compare Mobb Deep and whatever R &B group was hot at that point because they were separate genres.

People like Thug, Future etc should technically be in the same genre as The Clipse.
