Common. And it's not even close. I like Jada as a rapper, a personality, his style etc. But as overall musical artists they're not even in the same league.

I'm happy the poll looks like it does.

I feel like its one of those comparisons where we all feel we gotta pick Common as his albums are far greater, objectively.

But i know without question bar for bar, track for track, feature for feature i have played Jada's shyt 10x more over the years.

My guess is im not the only one.

Com has more flows/delivery
Better with metaphors
Better storyteller
Better with introspective rap
Better stage show
Can battle off the top of the head
Can get you bar for bar as well
Is more versatile period

I don't remember because I don't keep a detailed collection of bussy Chronicles in my mind so I'm going to abandon this point seeing as how there's a strong possibility I don't know what the hell I'm talking about





Musically speaking though it's no question Common crafts better albums. I just think that's cancelled by the fact Jada would walk him in a battle, versuz or otherwise. It's a lot closer than I think nikkas giving credit for and saying the question is disrespectful to Common is asinine.

There was literally no other reason he had not to respond to stay scheming because calling the boy Canada Dry ain't cutting it.


Jada has too much ammo, common would be food in a battle. Song vs song in a versuz would be closer but I still think Jada shyt would be too hard. Only thing I heard from Common that made me scrunch my face up is the bytch in yoo. I used to love her is obviously a point but idk his other sht ain't finna hit in a versuz like that.

I think it is more accurate told as:

Drake loves subs and had his writers do a few towards Com (apparently). Common sent one whole with Sweet. Common basically said hit dogs holler and if the shoe fits... when asked about if it was towards Drake.



Drake felt it and his writers started subbing again Stay Schemin, talking about the woman instead of the man (surprise), and Common pressed it into Drake's chest with the verse for the remix. Canada Dry was a popular term for a while to refer to Drake.



Drake tapped out, didn't have his writers respond, and had his father step in to squash the beef with Common.

I'm not sure what revisionist history there needs to be done where it results in Drake or his writers sonning anyone. If anything, he disrespected Serena more than he did Common, despite Common beheading Drake in swift order with his Stay Schemin' verse.

I prefer Jada he’s more entertaining to me but objectively Common because he has a much better catalog and at the end of the day it’s about the music

Especially when both are great lyricists. Catalog breaks the tie
