I’m sorry but Will is a wimp, his kids saw their mother disrespect Will all these years which led to them not respecting him once they got older.

I honestly don't think it was that at all. In retrospect Jaden got mad praise for karate kid and he was seen as an up and coming protege possibly following wills footsteps. “After earth” had a lot of hype and people were expecting a masterpiece and got a trash movie.

I don’t think will or jaden were ready for that criticism. Jaden probably wasn’t used to getting that much flack either. The smith family for the most part we’re getting praised wherever they went. At least he focused on rapping he’s way better at that then acting.
