Jaden Smith to play Static?

this thread is funny cause i don't see the problem....I and others have been calling for him to be casted as static for awhile now cause he fits the role....not saying he's the best actor, but people only judging him off after earth...the dude is decent at acting, already has the static look, and with the right script, would kill the role.....but I know, this the internet, so everyone always knows better....

ha, Tyler James Williams himself is actually a good pick for Static. He's young, likeable, and a pretty good actor.

If they did cast Jaden, it was most likely because he's a famous name that will attract attention. Static is still relatively unknown character to the masses.

I don't like either of them for it. I've always like Tyler James Williams but most certainly not for his acting. I've been pulling for him to make something big for a few years.

That WB show gave Static a huge profile boost but I agree that he's now relatively unknown. I would like an unknown to play the kid. I can't even think of 3 teen actors working right now that I can remember, let alone black teen actors who are apparently a rarity.

Those first two names certainly have the look down. Homie in the first spot I've not seen anything he's been in but if DOPE does well, and I hope it does, and he does well in it then he would have the profile to go after it.

I was a fan of Kwame Boateng for a while when I was more into tv actually. I was actually wondering what happened to him. Kid used to show up everywhere

What's funny is that he was a better actor when he was younger. And I guarantee there are young black actors a LOT more talented than him. They aren't even a chance to prove themselves tho
