Totally agree, but EVERYONE needs a backup plan and education is always a great one. Unfortunately far too many of these cats (especially football) come from backgrounds where money management is "shaky" at best.

Don't know if it was mentioned already, but Clowney has a $5 million insurance policy protecting him against career damaging injury for this season.

That's obviously less than what he stands to make in the NFL but it's something. It's not like he'll be broke if he gets hurt. Also South Carolina and their boosters will get him a job if anything. I remember a few years ago so some big name receiver for Alabama broke his leg real bad during a game which ended his career. The the school made sure he got a job and everything. There it was on espn I think.
