NFL is too unpredictable year-to-year to be hedging your bets imo. At the very least they need to ID and attempt to draft his potential successor. This deal allows them to do so, so I guess we’ll just see what happens.

I'm one of the few 9er brehs who hates the deal and criticized my team for it. It is a ridiculous deal and so is the Bortles one.

He beat the top 5 offense? What did he do against Buffalo again? He's not Brock Osweiler bad but he's not far from it.

he led two playoff wins, one on the road against Pittsburgh (where he balled out). He played well in New England and had "statistically" a good season. i dont see the problem...especially at 18M compared to other QBs

Jacksonville should draft a mid to late rd QB every year or two to keep pressure on Blake. Cousins costs too much. As a Boys fan, I saw him twice a year. Good but not enough to back up the Brinks truck.
