Well brehs. We couldn't beat the Zebras. We was the better team tonight. A couple of things:
- Everyone's going to blame Bortles but it wasn't his fault. He played a great game all things considered, yeah he underthrows, yeah he throws behind receivers, but he did all you can ask of him. I tip my hat to him and I fully expect for him to come back one more year to prove himself worthy of a long term deal.
- I believe Marquise Lee and Allen Robinson deals are both expiring. Hate to say it, but I don't want either of them back. Lee cost us 2 games singlehandedly, and if that doesn't happen, we probably host this game. We just can't have that. Cole and Westbrook does what he does better. Bortles plays better without Robinson, it's not really AR15's fault, but those big body tall receivers don't work for everybody. He doesn't get separation nor is he ever open because they're keyed in on him you have to throw jump balls and force the ball to him. Bortles plays better when he doesn't commit to a receiver, therefore I don't think we should retain him. He would eat with a better QB, and I'm sure he would put up a crazy season elsewhere, but not here.
- From what I'm to understand our defense is locked up, even Telvin who was extended during the season I believe. I expect to see us still add depth to the linebacker position because Pos is a liability at this stage of his career. The way the Pats picked on Telvin today is how every team picks on Pos when he's out there. We can't have that.
- Secondary is fine but I'd like us to bring in another safety. Really big plays were given up by them both in this game and in Pittsburgh. Throughout the season they were okay, but we can't really be too content with that.
- Last but certainly not least,
DRAFT A QB IN THE FIRST ROUND. Bortles is gonna have to EARN that damn contract after next season. I cannot stress this enough. He did well, he did everything we wanted him to do, but we can't allow him to flat out rob us without having a backup in place in case shyt go sour. Whether it's Lamar Jackson (please let it be Lamar

), Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield, whoever, we need a QB. Hopefully the media puts pressure on the FO to draft one instead of keeping Bortles job security safe, because some guys out there think we need a TE instead, Marcedes may be old in football years but he's done his job well and Bortles is comfortable with him. We can worry about the TE either later in the draft or the year after.
