She's said a lot of stuff that other people have been saying for years. It's just that she's reckless in how she's going about it.

People need their careers, so there's a lot of people that can't speak freely. They don’t want to deal with the consequences of doing that. Jag just doesn't seem to care, for whatever reason. But most of what she's been throwing out there, was shyt that people have said in one form or another over the past 20-25 years, lol. None of it is exactly breaking news. She's just doing it in a way that's wild weird.

Like I wrote during her air outs, Roots and the circle of performers they are associated with were active touring artists. That a how they supported themselves without top selling albums. They gig and do shows all the time,everywhere, not just during the Summer like major acts.
They literally spent years around each other and know each other very well. Much of what she said was facts that, as you said, was mentioned briefly by other industry people.

She embellished some shyt, and threw salt for sure.......but lot of it was true. Industry turned its back on her, so she lashed out at everybody.

I'm a day one Roots fan, and met them for the first time before DYWM?, and always loved their work. But they're definitely some of the wildest dudes you could ever be around. It is what it is. The story about white frat dudes calling them slurs and her leading the charge to punch MFers in the face was cosigned by an old BT interview. He repeated the story exactly like she said it. She ran up on the racists and he backed her up.


She said that DiceRaw humble bragged to her that he ghostwrites for the Roots. People laughed at her, ...............until the clip of Black Thought calling Dice Raw his "all out writing partner" surfaced. Dudes are still moonwalking about that.
In fact, I'm the one that bumped this thread because of the recent video of Oschino saying that State Property had to spit on cue for Jay, and that their lines would end up as bars,hooks, or concepts on Jay Z songs.

Jaguar put extras on stories because she was hurt and distraught, but all these people spent years around each other and know each other very well.

Black Thought pulled out a damn glock on a chick that he was cheating on his wife with. Back when The Roots were doing their college radio thing, they always said that Dice was writing a lot of different things with Thought. A lot of people didn't know about that though. But dude was heavy with them during the early years, and did a lot of work on those records. That's how he got his deal with MCA.

They got him and Jaguar deals on the same label. So she was around for all of those sessions and seeing dudes work and their process. Just like you pointed out.

Can’t respect Kweli anymore after the Res situation. I was already mad at him for Party Robot even though I do like it a little more these days lol.

Part of that is the crowd that attends their events. Lot of liberal arts major white kids, lot of Black rap fans who just want to come out to see a show. The goon element just isn't there, as it would be at the same venue if rappers with different auras were performing. You could take your girl to a Roots/Black Star show without worrying about when trouble was about to pop off.

I don't have beef with any of these artists, so not going to air anybody out, but I've seen them+encourages move in ways at shows that they wouldn't have done if they were on the same bill as Dipset or the Lox.
