His issue is that his nba position would normally be at the 4, 10 years ago. Now hes expected to be a small ball 5, which means hes forced to be a better defender and rebounder than hes physically capable of. In the previous nba climate allen and okafor would be starting together at the 4 and 5

I'm getting the feeling they will re-sign him, but use him as a bench scorer like the Thunder did Kanter and Bucks did Monroe.

Their drafting and player development has been next level, Jarrett Allen has been highly impressive and he was the 22nd pick.

Like other bigs who have improved shooting...Ibaka etc. It def can be done. Even if his D doesn't improve, he'll always have a spot if he can hit mid to 3.

Nets will resign Okafor and he will spend the summer with their training staff in the HSS center and learn the offense. Hopefully him and Allen can play some minutes together.

Okafor can score the ball he needs to work on his defense and rolling harder to the rim.

Nets will probably make a move during the draft to move up and get a young stretch 4.
