I followed this but when I ran the program I got tge window to open up with a red x and under neath it a download with itunes on it but when I clicked it it wouldnt let me download it

Is your phone updated to 8.1.2? If so you may need to restore you phone and try again. There have been no new updates since 8.1.2 last i checked.

There was a recent software update.. I updated it.. Will that prevent me from getting the jail break, I think I read somewhere that once u update it via wifi that the jail break won't work

you want to restore your phone with a computer then jailbreak it just to be on the safe side. After that though youll have no problems.

Besides the obvious security issues? If you download cracked apps you may as well be downloading spyware on your phone and you'll never even know it

Breh.. Those apps people download from appcake etc. are uploaded and cracked by regular users, you can never know if the app has been modified to take all your personal information on your phone, track your net browsing etc. take your passwords
