I heard what he said yesterday. He literally said it was because Zion can’t shoot (and he can).
He tried to backpedal and say it was because Zion wasn’t starting over Howard or Webber (which he wasn’t) but Zion can actually play any position 1-4 and be fine (1-5 honestly).
Zion played PG in HS (coach K specifically mentioned it after the Kentucky game) and we saw him running the point a lot after RJ was benched and Jones got hurt a lil
Coach K says Zion can shoot, he just doesn’t have to usually and they’ve been working on his shot all summer
He can definitely play the 3 with Jalen at the 2 if they question his shooting, passing, or handles, etc.
Bottom line, Jalen was incorrect and he backtracked. If Zion was to lose 20-30lbs he wouldn’t be saying this. He thinks all guards are supposed to be 190.
