Where do you get this from? If you go to the same spot more than once and they know that you're not going to try and scheme a free meal from them, then yeah you can run jokes with them. But politeness isn't something they reserve for fellow Jamaicans

Haitians, Trinis and Guyanese all have horrific customer service!

Food.was but the service was slow and incompetent.

I got sucked into this post just to come in and say, nikka must not have ever asked for extra oxtail gravy or plantains

There were two great Jamaican places that had good customer service, one was a buffet style place, the other is a carry out place, customer service is good, but sometimes they were slow af.

There is a place in Nola called Boswells, the food is aiight,i have been there twice,one time i was there and the one lady who was our waitress was Woat my girl was ready to dive on her, and they were close to closing, so she flat out told this white couple they closed, it’s like lady you don’t have to work here if you don’t want to :Fohruss:

I'm sorry but I just dont deal with them and their sh1t anymore. You're not going to short me on the food when you start running short to make it stretch, charge me exorbitant prices, and then have you act like I'm annoying you when I patronize your business.

Alot of people try to write it off as their culture but when another Caribbean or non black person comes through, sh1t turns into a Jamaican vacation commercial.

I learned how to make my own Jamaican food that taste better than their sh1t at home.

My local Jamaican spot said they keep getting white people from the same town, 4 towns over. He said he asks where they’re from, and says the town, and they say,

“How did you know?”


They aren’t even the ones who gentrified the area. (The beach folks will be there in the summer tho). It’s the white people who live 4 towns over. I have a feeling they’re trying to sample all the food, and open a spot of their own.

This is why those spots can have bad customer service, and still stay open. They know the food is good, and they have little to no competition.

Only way you get good customer service at the Jamaican spot is if you're white. Bonus points if you're white and you look like you've never eaten Jamaican food before.

I swear I be in there waiting for my food and white people come in after me and get their food swiftly.
