These are the reasons that when I peered behind the door of sports journalism I realized I want no parts of that career path.

One of my good friends I grew up with has a brother (I am also tight with) who graduated in journalism and worked for a few sports papers around the country.

Dude told me that they actually had him go online and to sports forum to see what stories are getting the most hits. Then report that to the boss who would then give the info to a writer who would then make a story on it.

So basically the papers were looking for people on forums to find stories and do all the work so they could then write a story on the info that was found on a forum.

It makes sense. I honestly use this forum for like 90-percent of my sports news. It's a great resource. I'm all majoring in that field but I definitely don't wanna do sports journalism. shyt is no better than TMZ or E! to me. It's the masculine side of gossiping and being a fakkit.
