I'm glad black QB's are taking over football
but we can't celebrate until the owner's black
Which is easily possible, shyt I could buy a team if I few people with great credit scores
to add onto my corporation
this owner's are scam artist like all business men, shyt is smoke mirrors
the NFL can collapse at any moment and those checks won't cash

why you think the fining the shyt out those players, they gotta find way to lower their pay because they can't afford to pay them
I don't think you understand just how much serious gwap even the struggling teams make. The NFL is doin aite, breh

the bigger the budget the bigger debt
I'm not saying the owners can end up in the poor house, but the business that is NFL can fail and collapse at anytime just like any other business

breh, they have a salary cap. The reason for the salary cap is to keep player salaries at a certain portion of league revenues.

As things are set today, an NFL team cannot go bust.

have you looked at their books?
players get paid checks like a 9 to 5'er for reason
I havent. You know why I have, and others havent? Because they make a lot more money than we all think, but since they are a private holding company they can keep it under wraps. Its why they refused to open the books up during the Lockout in 2011.

The Packers are the only team that is publicly traded, and they made a $54 million profit last season, which was 10 million more than the year before. They also made about $308 million last year

The only reason why a team would be "in trouble" is if they want a new stadium and dont want to pay for it. The TV money alone is enough to keep every team afloat.

It's all well good when things are going well, but one bad season could cripple the league
is a thin line between success and failure when it's that much money involved

what does "one bad season" mean? Explain that statement. What would be a "bad season?"

sometimes they have to give away tickets just so games won't be blocked out on television
law suits, unexpected incidents, costs of operations can rise, and also mismanagement can occur
a multitude of things can happen in a blink of an eye and those checks won't cash
there was a time the USFL were competing directly with the NFL like WCW and WWF

NFL is well run business, because they can't afford not to be

Only the Jaguars, even still its not because they are struggling.

law suits, unexpected incidents, costs of operations can rise, and also mismanagement can occur
the great unknown.

this time never existed. The USFL played in the spring. The USFL got top college players because they gave a lot of money, but a lot of teams folded quickly.

NFL is well run business, because they can't afford not to be
so then why did you continue this discussion?

so then why did you continue this discussion?

because all it takes a few mistakes and misfortunes

The USFL played in the spring but it was a rival league be serious

Because all it takes one BAD TURN, thats the whole point of the conversation

It's week to week literally, you really think they got that cash on hand to pay all those players, come on breh

An NFL team is nothing but a CREDIT LINE

the USFL were not a rival league to the NFL. They never sold out stadiums, outside of NYC, and had smaller budgets than the NFL. "Be serious" is not a sufficient counter-argument.
Look at this list of teams in the league and look how often teams either moved, folded, or merged

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Football_League#Teams

This was not a serious competitor to the NFL.

And you still havent explained what is a bad turn. The NFL has contracts with corporations and TV for many years to come. What is a "bad turn"?

And yes, the NFL does have the cash on hand to pay those players. I dont think you understand how credit works too.
