They aren't making the university millions of dollars either:ld:

You sure about that dummy.

How much you think tuition, books, meal plans and room and board cost.

Those millions the football players generate, they get the opportunity to make millions off that exposure and the training and coaching provided for them.

It works both ways.

Actually I am sure about that, you fat cocksucker.

These football players generate millions of dollars for these universities, and in return they get a scholarship that any regular student with a 3.5 gpa can get. It's not special, you'd know that if you went to college. The damn bowl games themselves generate millions. Also, quite a few regular students are on some sort of scholarship either full or partial. But they damn sure aren't contributing to the pot like an athlete who's likeness is banked off of from the schools. Are you really trying to argue the millions the small group of football or basketball players generate compared to the thousands of regular students you'd have to add up to even come close to that amount?

not really man.

A team might only have 3-4 guys get drafted, out of a roster of 85 players.

There's no real way to spin it to make it fair. The model was good 100 years ago, but now it's outdated and completely favoring the NCAA/schools.

Oh the university still makes out, but they're supposed to.

They fit the bill for the coaches, fields, weigh rooms, jerseys, security, staff, teachers, programs etc.

These kids are given scholarships, worth big money, things regular folks would kill to have,

The idea that college players are treated like slave labor is ridiculous, they are rewarded handsomely for their talents.

But i`m not gonna change anyones mind on this, people worship those who can play a game well in this country

I don't worship any athlete, so don't lump me in that BS. :childplease:

It's not a fair system and everyone knows this, even some of the conf. officials have stated a compensation model is needed in some fashion.. There's no good way to pay players at the moment, but that doesnt change the fact that the system is unfair.

Again, 90-100 years ago, the trade-off for "you play a sport for our school, we pay for your education" was pretty fair. When there's only 500 ppl at a game, no jerseys sold, no TV, etc, Now 90,000 ppl in the crowd, national TV, jersey sales, t-shirts, etc......all of that stuff allows the schools to make extra money but nothing extra for the player. They can't even get more food.

The model is outdated.

They aren't given any of this stuff. They work for everything you mentioned.

They are being exploited. There is no way to argue against that Fact.
