But what about that 1am on a Tuesday, you sitting around the dorm playing madden, and you want to run grab some food somewhere, but the caf is closed.

we had late night spots that were open, and id imagine most schools have some sort of eatery open til at least 11, maybe even midnight. if its to the point where you dont have a couple bucks to go get a couple mcchickens at 1am, then you best go get some grub at 11 then. i made sure i got that late meal in, because what little money i had in college wasnt going towards food, it was going towards alcohol, weed, etc. anything other than food that money was getting used for. even brought in some tins on occasion in my bookbag to load up a couple to go meals to throw in the fridge in the dorm.

people keep looking at it from the perspective of a student on loans, or has a little of mom and dad's money. What happens to a kid that can't work for it, and busts his ass all day and is still broke?

eating at 11 can be a 4th or 5th meal of the day. if you eat 4 or 5 times a day, and eat your last meal at 11, then if youre hungry by 1am youre eating like a bird. if a college athlete is going to bed hungry, thats 100% on him. most faciilties have protein shake/juice bar snack areas right at the damn practice facility anymore. get you a snack before and after your workouts, and 3 square at the dining commons where, at least in my case, had at least 1 all you can eat cafe on campus. if its that pressing, bring the to-go tins and get a meal to go. what else do you need food wise?

thats the current meal program where i went. pretty silmilar to the one that was there when i attended a decade ago. it also comes with an additional few hundred "foodbucks" that you can use at most fast food joints on/close to campus each semester. thats at lil ass nevada. no one should be going hungry when you have meal plans like that. one of those joints at nevada is open til 1am anyways so the 11pm last meal is moot

Notice how you NEVER, EVER mention when he actually leaves with the crab leg when telling the story. YOU have him going to pick up the crab legs TWICE. This is what YOU typed. He goes to pick up crab legs in both steps 1 and step 5. Both times gets sidetracked. If i am following what YOU said he basically never left with the crab legs therefore no crime is committed. If you told me he went to pick up crab legs and then goes back for butter THEN i'd be like okay he got the grab legs on step 1. But you have him going to pick them up...goes home...realizes he forgot butter... then he goes to pick up crab legs up AGAIN?????

Isn't Publix a spot where you can have a tab? Take the food, wave at the cashier and they bill you. If so, then somebody probably had an account set up for him there or would let him take food. Publix is s supermarket but they also have a deli and some of them you can seat in an eat. You still have to PAY for your items before you eat if you are eating at the deli as they dont give you your foood until you do. If you are getting sh!t from the supermarket part, you get the stuff wherever and then pay on your way out just like any other super market on the globe.

Look guys guys let's not complicate something as simple as going to a supermarket. Spare me the bullshyt of him getting distracted or whatever. He left Publix twice, 1st to go get some wings, 2nd to go home. Of course he has the crab legs when leaves to go home or we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Im assuming the pics and autographs were taken at the place called Hobbit, right. We are still NOT at Publix. Only wings involved so far. No crabs. No Publix

My answer to Question #1 about leaving/being at Publix:
He placed his order of crab legs at Publix. While they're steaming the crab legs, he walks to Hobbits and order some wings.
Probably took pics at both, but I would say Publix because it would probably have more customers than a wing shop.

Publix is a grocery store, good chance they would have some butter. Not sure about the wing spot having butter.
Maybe some where in between going to pick up his crab legs and getting the butter he gets distracted by fans wanting pics and autographs. Forget the butter and forget to pay for the crab legs. Chunk the deuces to the police as he leaves Publix.
