The camera is not following him because he's black or because he's famous. It's not following him at all. It's a standard "fixed" surveillance set-up, with still cameras aimed at virtually every area of the store. This video of him is put together from clips taken from each of those cameras. They could do the same for the girl pushing the cart past him at the seafood counter, if they needed to, since her every move was recorded.

That is not to say that whoever is monitoring the cameras doesn't perk up when the see a black person roll in. I can't speak to that.
