Without Bron/Bosh/Wade (which is one of the most improbable swindles in history), Riley's track record is pretty average.

Im not one of those delusional fans that expect my team to win championships every year. But i want to see my team make constent effort to compete. Sean Marion was a stop gap when we needed talent on a team that didnt have any at the time after Shaq bytched his way out.
I never cared for Riley as a coach that much but as a GM he never stood pat. NPI. Unlike some franchises that sit on their asses constantly he is always making moves when its needed.

And he is not average. When he took over the franchise he built a championship contender out of an expansion franchise. We were not like Orlando getting #1 picks year after year. As a matter of fact the Head has NEVER gotten the #1 pick. He wheeled and dealed his way into building a contender. Then when it didnt work out we tore it down and rebuilt it again and again.
