1. its a rivalry game nukka you dont even look at records when those two play

2. A road game in Norman senior night to be bowl eligible

3. Wasn't a conference game

James conference is 39–7 in non conference play

He did the same thing JOE pa did joe pa couldn't beat ohio state or michigan

He doesn't win when it matters.

Fran Brown, Brent Key, Alex Golesh, Jon Sumrall should be who they’re looking at if they can’t get Cig or maybe try to get Kiffin.

None of that matters.

- Michigan wasn't better than Ohio State last year. Michigan beat them.
- Oklahoma wasn't better than Alabama last year. Oklahoma beat them.
- Florida State isn't better than Alabama. Florida State beat them.

If James Franklin faced a ranked team it was basically a guaranteed loss.

None of that on paper shyt matters. The game is played on the field.
Michigan was better than Ohio State last year. Don’t let a championship fool you we seen what happened on the field

This is blowing my mind. I assumed pre-NIL era coach buyouts (Jimmy sexton bending ADs over tables) were non-starters now that youre on the hook for paying players and theres less money to go around

Paying your roster natty-push money and still scrounged up $50 million mid-season

Even though he had a tough L of his own last night, gotta think Lox is allowing himself a slight :mjlol: today.

Lot of history with those two, and no love lost between 'em.

doesn't matter wins are wins,
joe paterno was 2-15-1 against ohio state, 6-10 against michigan

Lol at oregon walked in, oregon has been a premier team for decades

Bolded are probably the worst parts of an absolutely terrible argument you're making.

When you're trying to make the playoff, who you beat absolutely does matter, especially when the reputation your coach and program carry is that wins against top ranked teams are the exception, not the rule. Or, a better way to put it, similar pro ball, the easiest way to make the playoffs is to win your conference. When you're guaranteed to lose no less than one game against one of the frontrunners to make the conference title game, and then most likely lose said game if you make it there, you're not putting yourself in the best position. I mean, if Ryan Day was out here coaching to save his career last season, how in the fukk was James Franklin supposed to survive how bad this season has been?

And Oregon just recently got back to being solid in the last five years or so, running the Pac-12 while it slowly died. I don't think anyone was expecting them to win the Big Ten in their first season, and then follow up with clearly being at worst the second best team in the conference the year after. This was supposed to be Penn State's clearest path to a Big Ten title and instead they're dropping games to Northwestern. Unfortunately, breh's time was just up.

:wow: PSU really is the james franklin of football programs, guess they think they can do better. I'd throw a BAG at Cignetti
Can't sere Cignetti leaving Indy. Same conference, money is starting to come in with the wins, and he's not following anybody or anything at Indiana. He's writing his own script and legacy in real time game by game. Indy will match or improve on whatever anybody tries to throw at Cig.

Surprised they fired him considering the 58M buyout and with Beaver Stadium undergoing a 700M renovation but it needed to be done cuz the team has quit on Franklin
